We are a group of student filmmakers from the Sidney Poitier New American Film School working to create a capstone short film that analyzes how families deal with grief, and the ups and downs of trying to support each other through any struggle.

Daniel is a director and composer from Boise, Idaho, now studying at the Sidney Poitier New American Film School. He’s been telling stories and playing piano since he was 6 years old and hopes to keep doing both until he’s at least 100. When he isn’t making short films or practicing piano, he plays a lot of DnD and loves studying different languages.

Rudy Rumero
Producer
Rudy is a 4th year Film and Media Productions major at ASU’s Sidney Poitier New American Film School. He's excited to keep working as the producer for Crash and Burn. He’s lived in Arizona his whole life, and when not on set, spends his time exploring new video games and watching his favorite show: One Piece.

Jimmy Guan
Cinematographer
Jimmy is an aspiring cinematographer and video editor born and raised in Arizona. Ever since creating short skits in high school, he's strived to continue his passion for filmmaking through ASU’s Sidney Poitier New American Film School. He also has a passion for dance and hopes to work towards a career that combines film and dance.

Caleb Syndegeya
Editor
Caleb was born in the Congo and is now studying at the Sidney Poitier New American Film School. When he got to America, he couldn't keep his eyes off the TV. He's always wanted to learn about movies and hopefully be involved in them someday. He's excited to get the chance to work with classmates on this project and is sure we will create something beautiful.

David Debry
Assistant Director
David Debry is a hard-working director, producer, and writer from Portland, Oregon. He is currently attending the Sidney poitier New American Film School and Barrett, The Honors College. As a filmmaker, he has led productions of several short films and been an active member of the Phoenix film community. His passion lies in creating original sci-fi and fantasy stories, citing works like Star Wars and Dune as his biggest insirations. He's thrilled to work with a talented crew and will work to be a driving force in bringing this film to life.

Adia Eckberg
Production Desginer
Adia Eckberg is a young artist with a love for photography, editing, and physical art medias. She came from Oceanside California but has lived in Arizona most almost her whole life. Since coming to the Sidney Poitier New American Film School her eyes have been opened up to the wonders of film, she is also a student at the ASU Barrett Honors College. On her days off she's either reading manga or listening to alt-rock music.
